Not a bad day for a mountain bike race. Hostilities commence in 15 minutes. #CanadaCup #Kentville

A little bit of good news for you:

🌈 A 12-person protest against a drag event in Kentville, NS, was answered by hundreds of LGBTQ+ folks and allies in a peaceful rally to support "Drag Me to Dinner". https://wayves.ca/kentville-drag-dinner-2023-06-support

🌈 A right wing bigotry rally of 3 people in Dartmouth, NS, eclipsed by a 30-person counter-protest. The sad-looking, damp fascists gave up and went home after several rounds of lively mockery. https://wayves.ca/anti-bigotry-rally-halifax-2023-06

"Motorists drove by and honked their horns while a few gave the middle finger to the protesters."
I can't see "two dozen" but anyway - it's a lot less than 300. Love wins.

I missed Muskrat Monday I guess, but better late than never, and there's always next week.
Photographed in the local protected wetland habitat in the town of #Kentville #NovaScotia . This little chap was building his nest in a hole in the bank along the river flowing through Miner's Marsh.

Lakeville Lake at Sunset
This little lake is not far from #Kentville, #NovaScotia on the side of a main road in the Annapolis Valley. In the winter there are ice fishing huts scattered over the surface, but in the #summer it's filled with people swimming. This is so peaceful with that calm surface and almost perfect reflection.Have a peaceful day, friends.

After a dark and rather tricky hike/walk through the #Ravine by the #Kentville Research Station back in 2021, we came out of the woods to be greeted by this spectacular burst of colour. Lit by the golden hour sun these splendid trees stood out against the stormy clouds behind. I hope it cheers your day as it cheered mine in posting.
