I posted an old document I made (1981) calling itself a Macsyma Implementors' Guide. It was more like a reference manual for some basic functions used internally in Macsyma at that time. Not a lot of explanatory text. But there are examples that reveal use.
Many of the named functions may still work in one or both of the two Macsyma/Maxima branches as this was upstream of the split. Though there could have been downstream changes that make it less useful. You're on your own there.
Very unrelated, I also put up a user's manual for a Craig 2603 Cassette Recorder, from around 1969. I didn't see that document online elsewhere. It was beloved by me in the day. See metadata for an explanation.
