Evacuation Warnings are in effect from Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at 6:00 pm through Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at 6:00 pm for the following areas:
Mountain Fire Burn Scar (Unincorporated Camarillo)
Matilija Canyon/North Fork/Camino Cielo (Unincorporated Ojai)
Camp Chaffee (Unincorporated Ventura)Impacted County residents will be notified by VC Alert on Tuesday afternoon. For more information on the affected areas, visit the incident MAP.
Kenneth Fire – Los Angeles County issued an Evacuation Warning for residents within the Kenneth Fire Burn Scar, effective Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at 11:00 am. A Wireless Emergency Alert (WEA) announcing this warning was sent at 11:00 am. on Monday, December 22, 2025. Due to cellular tower overlap, Ventura County residents near the Los Angeles County border, particularly in the unincorporated area of Oak Park, may have received this alert. There are no evacuation notifications for Ventura County residents related to the Kenneth Fire.

KENNETH FIRE
At approximately 2:40 pm, the Kenneth Fire erupted near the Victory Trail Head near the border of Ventura and Los Angeles Counties. Forward progress has been stopped. The fire is currently holding at 960 acres and is 0% contained. Approximately 400 Firefighters will remain on scene through the night, continuing to provide structure protection and knock down hot spots. There are no reported structures damaged or destroyed.
