Oh, right! The game is Kena: Spirit of Bridget Jones. Which otherwise is pretty good, if not great.
Also, something like #KenaBridgeOfSpirits proves that you can improve graphics (“fidelity” is the term, I think), but still make them look cartoony. That’s something that’s been on my mind because of the #ZeldaOcarinaOfTime remake.
But ALSO, I would like for the advancement of hardware to stop. It’s meaningless. Has ray tracing changed anything? Do you even remember that it exists?! I don’t!

I dunno why I never bothered playing it before, but after finishing Kena: Bridge of Spirits I can say that I missed so much.

I kinda like the dodge and block mechanics in Kena and how they are balanced.
I have to switch between them because none of them is a simple "get out of jail free" card to avoid getting damaged.

Watched the PS State of Play and the Kena sequel (Scars of Kosmora) looks so good. Somehow never played Bridge of Spirits, gorgeous art, emotional depth, and combat that can be brutal?

Kena's loading time are super short! Often just 1-2 seconds when it reloads a checkpoint so it probably just resets the states instead of reloading everything new.
Very important for a game that can be very hard.

I recently bought Kena Bridge of Spirits and it looks really good and has great and difficult fights.
I mainly got it because it reminded me of the Blender open movie Spring.

Tried playing #KenaBridgeOfSpirits on my Steamdeck and whilst the game seemed fun, I just couldn't get a stable framerate out of it at either 60 or 30FPS.
I don't mind playing at 30, but I do expect it to stay nailed at thirty if I'm doing so.
Refund request issued; I'll likely play this on the PS5 at some point in the future.

I started playing #KenaBridgeofSpirits, and they should have just made a movie. It's beautiful, but the combat is clunky, the "exploration" is straight lines, and the "puzzles" are pressing the button at the glowing thing. Like, honestly, it would have been better as a walking sim. I can respect a simple game that knows what it is, but layering the half-baked trappings of a third person action platformer over top just drags it down. I need to find something else to fill the void until Monster Hunter Wilds comes out.

@KazuShuSora Danke für die Einschätzung.😊 Ich hatte schon auf Standard so viel Probleme mit #KenaBridgeofSpirits, dass ich auf Leicht gestellt habe. Jetzt klappt es für mich zufriedenstellend.
Aber dann wird vermutlich #EldenRing eher nichts für mich sein. Ich nehme erstmal von der Steam Wishlist runter.
