#KeithGiffen's (1952 - 2023) mix of dark, heartfelt and weirdly funny superhero #comics can be seen as precursors to mainstream phenomena like #BuffyTheVampireSlayer or the #MCU's #GuardiansOfTheGalaxy.
Plus, he invented #JasonMomoa in 1983, over 30 years before nature's awkward DNA copy followed suit.

As much as I'd love to say it's the trinity of Morrison/Moore/Gaiman who molded my taste in comics, I owe every bit as much to Bob Burden and Keith Giffen.
Giffen's dark humor that was actually funny (so many writers get the "dark" but not the "humor" bit) and his fascinating art (see: Trencher) changed everything for me.

Sad to hear of #KeithGiffen’s passing, though I had a mixed reaction to his body of #comics work.
My favorite works of his were his 70s and early 80s layouts, and #Annihilation, which is maybe the best comic #Marvel has published in this century.
