Maybe 14hrs into the comparative #kefir batch. Quite a difference between the two.
The commercial kefir added to milk has thickened up and is quite smooth, and has the taste of a gentle buttermilk.
The #kefirGrains version has a little mountain range on top but the underlying milk is still not really thick at all. Something working there though I think.

My neighbor just asked me to come over to help her with the #kefirgrains I had given to her yesterday. Always a little daunting straining your #kefir the first time but she loves the taste and is hooked.
I'm five months in and going strong on at least two cups a day.
