Me gusta mucho #KDEConnect, aunque es un programa con muchas opciones y yo solo uso la función de pasar archivos entre dispositivos.
Así que una opción mucho más sencilla y directa es #LocalSend. Nada de manejar virtualmente al otro dispositivo ni de enviar notificaciones, o de controlar la reproducción de medios.Es solo para pasar archivos entre dispositivos por red local.

im wondering why #KDEConnect (25.08.3, NixOS, KDE Plasma, Wayland) is missing the "send clipboard" option for me..

its there on the macOS version of KDE Connect though 🥲

Hey,
I have a #fairphone5 and installed #eOS on it. Since some time I can't use my WiFi at home anymore (FRITZ!Box 7590). If I open a guest WiFi it works, but not my WiFi I use with my #Linux laptop.
This way I can't share things ( #KDEconnect ).
Other WiFi works. I tried to reset my router and change settings ... not working.
And no help from eOS.
What is your issue?

Wat leuk ... Bij de laatste update van KDEconnect kwam 'klembord verzenden weer terug bij de knoppen!

(Voor mij toch wel de mest gebruikte functie van #KDEconnect)

A friend wanted to donate some data to #heliboard using a very old android phone. (Appreciated honestly, because I want some data of phones with laggy input polling). What a bloody adventure. The SSL certs were so old that f-droid wasn't considered properly secured, gitlab wouldn't load to browse for the .so file... codeberg wouldn't load to browse for a dictionary... In the end we installed an apk of #kdeconnect we shasum verified and did everything from my phone to send to theirs.

Le mieux, je trouve, c'est d'utiliser newpipe, pipepipe ou tubular, sur smartphone Android (depuis #fdroid ). C'est moins souvent bloqué par Youtube, et ça permet aussi de télécharger avec ou sans vidéo et dans différentes résolutions. Ensuite on peut facilement le rapatrier sur un ordinateur avec #syncthings ou #kdeconnect.

Czasem kupuję nośnik, czasem cyfrowo, a czasem zaciągam. Słucham przez Nextcloud Music (bardzo polecam) z serwerka na biurku obok.

Oprócz działania przez przeglądarkę (ja nią steruję tak przez #KDEConnect z telefonu albo z bezprzewodowej klawiatury) udostępnia (opcjonalnie) API serwera mediów w standardach #Ampache i #Subsonic oraz umożliwia #scrobbling do #Lastfm

Weird, just did an update to Kernel Linux 6.8.0-136-generic x86_64 and now KDEConnect no longer connects.

Edit: So it took a some probing, but I learned that vino and vlc were refusing connections as well. A quick:

sudo netstat -tunelp | grep -i kdeconnect

found that after the update, all my open ports were closed for all of the above services. Reopening them of course fixed everything right up.

I briefly tried #KDEConnect, but my laptop's performance drop was so dramatic that I uninstalled it only a few minutes later. Besides, it had some strange effects when used to write text messages.

Bei nem Upgrade von #Devuan auf #devuan6excalibur dem Wunsch nach #kdeconnect nachgegangen und #DevuanKDE frisch installiert.
Aber sämtliche Probleme (die ich vorher mit dem #cinnamondesktop unter Devuan nicht hatte): Soundkarte läuft nicht, der Appstore Discover liefert keine Zusatzsoftware, ...
Auf dem ThinkPad lief doch sonst alles unter Devuan bisher.

Verzichte ich nun auf KDEconnect oder wechsel ich zu #Debian?

Hmmm, since just recently, the #KDEConnect daemon seems to jump to 100% CPU use all the time.
This is a bit a PITA, to be honest, and seems unnecessary

Edit: I figured out that VPN was the root of not being able to connect my device via local network with KDE Connect. VPN is always on, so I forget. ROFL

Okay, I got KDE Connect to work again with my Samsung Phone...It took some experimentation with fiddling with things, ultimately had to use the Bluetooth protocol in order to connect because trusted network failed.

Weird behavior, but I assume that there may be some background changes that I need to make. However, I am happy with this outcome because being able to run commands remotely from my phone while at my console or whatever is pretty nice.

Very impressed with #KDEItinerary on both desktop and Linux mobile. Very easy to plan trips, and the interface once you're actually on-the-go is very information-dense in a non-overwhelming way. I can't believe I never used it before!

It can show me my whole journey on a map, my current ticket, notifies about delays, the weather... heck, even if one of my destinations has incompatible power outlets.

I also like that I can just sync it over #KDEConnect after I'm done planning on my desktop.

Geilo, kaum zuhause zeigt mir #KDEconnect die Mastodon Benachrichtigungen, die mir mein #fedilab android client nicht anzeigt. Linux, einfach anders zuverlässig.

#kdeconnect is great. I can use my pixeltablet (of course with #graphenos) as a "wacom" tablet. Well that's great!
