#hyundai auto workers union joins #KCTU in general strike until #yoon is removed. Impeachment vote this Saturday

Trade Unions in South Korea launched immediate responses to the martial law yesterday by declaring indefinite strikes until the order was lifted and President Yoon apologizes or is removed from office.
Appears to be a developing situation as to when various unions may choose to go and strike and what demands they may have.

Korean police and secret police have a long and sordid history of suppressing unions. It includes #torture and murder and extends well in to the democratic period of the 1990s and even beyond.

Here's korean police raiding a morgue in 1991 so they could snatch the body of Park Chang-Su, a union organiser who was torrtured to death in the custody of south korean secret police, in a successful attempt to prevent an autopsy from being conducted. No murder charges were ever filed.

The torturers, murderers over at the korean secret police / KCIA try to keep themselves relevant by union-busting in an era when they are increasingly being viewed as obsolete.
Trampling on unions may just be a political ploy to save themselves from losing their powers of investigation to normal, civilian, police who aren't allowed to torture people, forge documents, rig elections, and steal money, while operating in total darkness.

#korea south korean secret police, the guys who like to tie up union organisers by their feet and whip them, or smash their heads in with heavy objects, suddenly concerned with north korean infiltrators in unions.
These people would be the same ones running the political reeducation camps if the communists took over.

Top tip, when you're carrying out a north-korea style assault on workers rights. Pretend you're fighting against north korea.
Make note... no trade unions at all in kaesong industrial complex. An issue that both korean governments are totally united on.
