Very Happy Birthday to Katy Manning.
I think... no, actually, there's no need to think about it - Katy Manning IS my favourite celebrity from Doctor Who that I have had the pleasure to meet in person. Actually, no, I'd go further than that - Katy Manning is my favourite celebrity from ANY TV show or movie that I've had the pleasure to meet in person. She is just so nice and so wonderfully bonkers, I'm smiling now just thinking about the time I met her. Wonderful lady.

This evening's #DoctorWho nostalgia fest on the iPlayer, more Jon Pertwee era fun with the Sea Devils. One of the creatures emerging from the waves is my earliest Who memory.

In the Pertwee era, whenever the Master appeared in a serial, there was always a certain pattern that was so obvious that it got both annoying and amusing after a while. I created this meme to better illustrate what I mean.
