Ce roman a été un succès dans les années soixante mais je n'en avais pas entendu parler. L'autrice a mis trente ans à peaufiner son bouquin, et ça se voit.
D'ailleurs la vie de #katherineanneporter est romanesque, soutien de la révolution mexicaine dans les années vingt, elle aggrave son cas en prenant la défense de sacco et vanzetti . -

I'm pitching a translation of a short story collection at the moment. No bites...yet. I don't get readers (or publishers) who avoid short fiction. IMO, it's not length that matters but the quality of prose. Any number of words can tell an engaging story. But novels, it seems, hog the limelight.
