So, I saw a thing about a new Katamari game that was going to be coming out. Had a bit of a facepalm moment, of course, Katamari Damacy is a great game! That opening is absolutely iconic... But, that would ignore the fact that the rest of the soundtrack slaps
Fun fact, I never played the original Katamari Damacy, in fact, my first Katamari game was Beautiful Katamari on the Xbox 360.
It was a hard choice, going through the soundtrack to find a track to showcase. It was a choice of titles and vibes, and I do think i settled on my favourite, 『Guru Guru Galaxy』, Guru Guru being Japanese onomatopoeia for spinning round in circles. Truly emblematic when it comes to nature of the Katamari games and the spiral design of galaxies.

Once Upon A Katamari is out. I picked it up on Friday, and have been playing it. It’s good: true to the spirit of #KatamariDamacy, though expanded considerably (there are many more levels—the conceit being different historical eras such as Edo Japan, the Wild West and the ages of pirates and dinosaurs—and mechanics about collecting crowns). The graphics and music are top-notch as well. I’m relieved to report that Bandai Namco didn’t mess this up.
Also, I may be a while.
