Ran into this gem #today. It's from the (current version of the) privacy policy used by a cardiology device (with mandatory smartphone app, mind you) called #Kardia that is given to patients within The Netherlands (and some other countries) by some cardiologists 🥲.
I send them a nice mail that it might be time for a policy review, as the EU-US Privacy Shield became invalid in 2020 and the current EU-US DPF has been disputable since January 2025. Figured someone got to let them know...
It's a sad thing of the current state of this world, that we cannot even trust devices given by doctors to be compliant.

Niche, but if anyone has a #Kardia #KardiaMobile portable ECG and has a rooted Android phone, be aware that they silently changed the app to not run on rooted phones with the latest update. I did not appreciate finding this out on a bike ride when I wanted to take an ECG. (Hiding it in Magisk works, but I had to clear my data to stop it from crashing, so I've also lost my historical ECGs. Luckily it's only been half a year or so.)
