Two unpatched vulnerabilities in Kaltura's mwEmbed HTML5 player library (html5lib) allow unauthenticated file read and remote code execution via insecure deserialization in mwEmbedLoader.php. CVE-2026-19913 and CVE-2026-19912 affect any exposed instance with no auth or tokens required. No vendor patch exists yet.

Although youtube and Google Meet were working in #Firefox on #Fedora #Silverblue after updating to #Fedora40, there were still some services (e.g. #kaltura) still had issues. Switching to the flathub Firefox instead of the Fedora one fixed it:
- flatpak install --assumeyes --reinstall flathub org.mozilla.firefox
- flatpak override org.mozilla.firefox --user --filesystem=~/.mozilla
Second is to pick up existing profiles as flathub defaults to ~/.var/app/org.mozilla.firefox/.mozilla/firefox/

💡 Interessantes Feature von #Kaltura: statt ein eigenes Video hochladen, einen Link von Youtube verwenden. Dem können eigene Beschreibung/Tags hinzugefügt werden. Zusammen mit der Playlist-Funktion eignet sich das sehr gut zum kuratieren von Inhalten.

@haraldschirmer Microsoft's DNA ist ja eher die Datei-orientierte Zusammenarbeit von Arbeitsgruppen. Im Bereich "Modernes Intranet" lernen sie erst nach und nach dazu.
#Sharepoint Online entwickelt sich zum "Webbauksdten". ESN/Microblogging haben sie mit Yammer dazugekauft.
