  1. every weekend I listen to an episode of Ka Leo Hawaiʻi and usually can only pick up the general topic and words here and there, but in this one, they told two different tiny stories about how Kāneʻohe got its name, and I understood them both! (I think. He haumāna wale nō au...)

  6. Each weekend I listen to an episode of Ka Leo Hawaiʻi, which is usually 100% ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi. Today for the first time there was an English segment, Ke Kumu, about five minutes discussing reduplication, it was fascinating! I recommend it. Start the audio and there is a mele first ~4 minutes, then the Ke Kumu segment for about 5 minutes, then a funny little reduplication-related song about the humuhumunukunukuapuaʻa! #reduplication #languageLearning #kaLeoHawaii ulukau.org/kaniaina/?a=d&d=A-K
