    Vergesst die Tour de France! Das härteste #Radrennen der Welt startet am Sonntag, 19. Juli 2026, um 20 Uhr: Das Transcontinental Race. Es führt über knapp 5000 Kilometer von #Trontheim in Norwegen bis #Kalamata in Griechenland.

    Hilfe ist verboten

    Hart ist das Rennen, weil die Radler unterwegs ganz auf sich gestellt sind. Das auf das allernotwendigste reduzierte Gepäck ist am geländetauglichen Rennrad befestigt.

  7. Once upon a time there used to be an extensive network of narrow-gauge lines in #Greece’s south 🇬🇷. The voyage usually started (and ended) in #Athens at the #Peloponnese station.
    Picture taken in 1985. The train seen here is, if I remember well, the overnight service from #Kalamata, hauled by an “Alco” Class 9100 and an “Alsthom” Class 9200.
