By 1967, Toho had really leaned into Godzilla movies as kid movies.
Minilla is one of those tack-on characters found in kid franchises, who is a child or niece or nephew of the protagonist.
He was first introduced in Son of Godzilla (1967).
He stars in All Monsters Attack/ Godzilla's Revenge (1969), which I kind of see as the canon's "problem play." I love this movie with all my heart, but boy, it takes a lot of explaining.

This is Gigan from Godzilla vs Gigan (1972). The dark satire of Godzilla vs. Hedorah had been box office poison, so shifting gears to something funny and goofy For The Kids was in order.
The buzzsaw tummy! The fashionable wraparound shades for eyes! Gigan is a cyborg engineered by an alien people to destroy Earth!
Still, there are a few bits of gentle social satire about the times smuggled in here and there, if you look.

Since #Godzilla vs. Megalon (1973) is on my mind, here is Megalon.
The antenna is a lightning weapon and his drill hands allow him to burrow underground at ferocious speed.
And did I mention he spits NAPALM?
This is a first class insect monster! But does he have the moxie to take on Godzilla? Only a decent DVD will tell!

I haven't see #Godzilla vs #Megalon (1973) in living memory, and don't seem to have a copy. It's on the kid-movie end of the Godzilla spectrum.
Jet Jaguar was named by a winner of a contest for kids. I love that, and feel that it gives the name a mystique and a mojo no studio writer could have given it.
He is a monster-rasslin' giant #Roboto, and a good guy, and somehow ends up on Team Godzilla.

#KaijuToy No. 6. Titanosaurus is a #kaiju in but one movie: #TheTerrorOfMechaGodzilla (1975). This movie is weird, gothic, kitchy, sad, hilarious, witty, and seethes with protest.
Kaijuista who liked the Smog Monster need to see this. It is also Ichiro Honda's last film as director.
I wonder if Titanosaurus wasn't used any more after this for branding reasons: Titanosaurus is the name of a real dinosaur, making it a bad trademark.

Kaiju #Rasslin #KaijuRasslin foil for #KingKong in #KingKongEscapes 1967.
His main rasslin' move is a kangaroo kick. Later appeared in #DestroyAllMonsters 1968, and a few other outings too outré to share here.
