I bet people called him Mel. I love this. Taken literally, nearby, a flying or jumping tortoise, we are low to the ground looking up at it, or in the distance, the true form of God, or a god, above the city. Or figuratively maybe some kind of commentary on this place or time or something idk. I think it's rad.
It could be that the artist painted a city and a tortoise on the same piece of paper for practice, but he made something magic nonetheless 😁 ❤️
