Would some need to water this down with “not all rich”, as the Lausanne Movement did?

Richard Ward, London preacher, considers an objection to Matthew 5:7. That is Lifeboat Ethics, which says there’s only so many to help and you must let the rest die. But thou must now relieve them.

Is this argument that Ward opposes here, one that is largely what the world teaches today? Leave them alone, focus on your spirituality and “obedience”?
