Justin Amash has been “campaigning” to be Speaker since November, when it became clear McCarthy might not get it.
But it was limited to Twitter.
It was basically an opportunity talk about reforms a good Speaker would adopt, not a real run for the job.
Well, apparently Amash looked at this chaotic timeline and figured “F*ck it. Why not?” because since 2 pm, he’s been on the House Floor ACTUALLY campaigning.
