Oh My Venus
(2015 - Viki, 16 1hr eps)In this cute romcom bandaids become a symbol for healing - physically & mentally. The plot is about an overweight, stressed lawyer meeting a personal trainer after breaking up with her boyfriend of 15 years. They did a reasonable job with the weightloss transformation topic & tried to impress on the audience that a healthy inside was the goal.
The acting was outstanding (see comment about Sung Hoon). The leads were great together (loved her in Hometown Cha x 3). You will hate some characters - the ML's family is a mess. The 2nd couple will make you mad, but they have a lot of char. dev. The 3-way bromance is so cute.
There are some weird kDrama logic holes & some noble idiot shenanigans. Overall, it's a sweet, funny drama about healing.
