This #genuary28 image is made entirely of HTML `<div>` elements, drawn using a short JavaScript that calculates a Julia Set fractal. A screenshot of the page is shown in this post - for the original, go to https://codeismycanvas.art/posts/genuary26/juliadiv.html.

For #genuary4 - Low Resolution - I made a Julia set fractal with resolution animated starting at 6x6 pixels, increasing to 180x180 and back.

Today I'm having fun experimenting with these simple little Julia Set fractals using fractional powers and orbit traps. When the constant is real and positive, you can get single "fractal monsters" like the first image. Keeping the order the same but changing to a negative real constant, the monsters get together in a little convention like the second image.

I’ve been fascinated by the #MandelbrotSet and #Fractals since my college days 😍:

@idontlikenames No problem!!! :) I didn't know that what I recently succeeded to generate illustrates the so called #Droste effect. The first fractal is based on an image with transparent background as orbit trap, and the second one with its original background. #DrosteEffect #fractal #juliaset #julialang

Julia set for f(z)=z²-0.04-0.684i
using two colormapping methods: 1)assigning pixel color according to the result of some bit operations on the number of iterations; 2) using an image as orbit trap. #juliaset #julialang #orbittrap #image -
I decided I wanted to know what a Julia set would look like in 3D and quantized. It looks like an alien coastal town...
