Today is #GivingTuesday, a day for generosity to the charitable causes that do the work to help those in need.
Consider donating to https://codeandsupply.fund, our NPO sibling org that funds #TechConference travel.
Our 2024 program expenses exceeded revenues and we anticipate that will continue in 2025 with both #PyConUS and #JuliaCon in #Pittsburgh, and more.

Not enough sponsor logos on this one...

I managed to get the recursion of this #juliacon image to about 42 levels deep (starting at A2 paper size) before the SVG coordinates start fusing together (when the coordinates are only 0.000001 apart).

one of many rejects - too clichéd 😂

An experiment in automatic layout, generating a poster automatically from text input and a template. It's not 100% perfect, since the output from Luxor.textfit() isn't that predictable :) 😂

Last week, our RSEs attended twin conferences - #PyData 2023 and #JuliaCon 2023 at Eindhoven, where RSE Abel Sores Siqueira gave a talk about #Nonlinear #Optimization with the Julia Smooth Optimizers packages. There were many talks, from cutting-edge data analysis techniques to #MachineLearning applications!
Check out an introduction to Abel's speech here:

This is great work but some components are raising warnings that need some work. I will do my best to raise the PRs once I return from #Juliacon.

#JuliaCon is great, so happy to see everyone!

Being at #JuliaCon is already crazy because like every third badge is a name I recognize from GitHub or Slack or whatever
