  1. so a #haiku doesn't have to be about nature, but i was still unsatisfied bc many of my haikus are dark or heavy. & fauxku would essentially mean fake verse, not fake haiku

So i am officially creating the term #juku

"jūku" conceptually translates to a "heavy poem" or a "serious verse"

[The opposite of "hai" (俳), which conveys a sense of "lightness" or "humor," would be "jū" (重), meaning "heaviness."]

  2. It would be interesting to see what made Juku close. I'd give my eyeteeth to own an Irish-made and Irish-designed powerbank. My guess is that they got very little publicity - hunting for the company it took me a couple of hours to discover it closed in 2022, and there was extremely scant social media appearance, I only found two media profiles, and there was no mention of the people of the company

    Hi Jo, and welcome!

Some interesting quotes here. It is true that Japanese #schools don't use streaming in the same way that we do in the UK and, I think, in the US. They don't have TAs either. While it does mean equal treatment, it can also mean that children with #SpecialNeeds are left to sink (usually) or swim. We also need to remember that many children attend #juku, or cram schools, after school, usually from 5 to 8 every day. 1/2
