Genocide cannot be tolerated. Remaining silent about what Israel has done leads us all down a path to hell. Israelis and Gazans are already living that reality. Israelis with the knowledge that their country will be forever associated with this crime, and Palestinians paying the price for 80 years of occupation that Israel refuses to end. International law exists to address genocide, occupation, ethnic cleansing, mass rape, crimes against humanity, and other violations that Israel has carried out for decades with impunity. Hamas/affiliates attacking civilian population are not exempt either. Governments should enforce these laws instead of weaponizing #antisemitism and criminalizing protest. Jewish people, more than anyone, should reject Israel’s claim to speak in their name to justify the displacement of another people. Israel forfeited its right to exist when it refused to respect the other side’s right to self-determination. There can be no Israel if Palestinians are exterminated or expelled, as Israel is planning (since before 1948, there should be no doubt about that).

In many ways Shavuot has become my favorite Jewish holiday, primarily because it involves the mitzvah of study!
My favorite way to observe is by being a part of #ShavuotLive, 24 hours of expanded Torah learning on zoom, brought to the world by the awesome folks behind the Judaism Unbound podcast.
Start-Time: Saturday, May 31st, 8 pm ET/5 pm PT/12 midnight GMT

So, today is #Fridaythe13th. The common fear of the number 13 goes back to christian and even norse mythology.
But in #Judasim, this is a lucky day!
There are many reasons why 13 is a lucky number - it's the age of Bar Mitzva, #Israel (Jakob) had 13 children, from the 13 principles of faith to the 13 attributes of G*d...
And of course, Friday is a very special day, because #Shabbat begins on Friday evening. Well...
Shabbat Shalom!

Had a great power walk, came back and made soup for Shabbos dinner, doing a little cleaning... getting ready! Twenty-five hours disconnected from technology*, focusing on the spiritual and resting the physical... time to stop becoming; time to BE.
Good Shabbos, all!

*except for Siri, Alexa, and Google, who are listening whether we like it or not, LOL. Glad I skipped the Eufy cameras.... 😘
