been working really hard on the dollmaker, code got a significant update (we're using the latest versions of jquery + ui now) and i'm slowly adding more clothes etc. including cosplay outfits as seen here. it's gonna be hard work but that's life, plus i'm having fun which was the entire point

working on a thing. i shouldn't have lost this much sleep over a "simple" fork but yet i did. right now it functions like it should though (including finished image export) (no more manual screenshot + copy-pasting in paint/gimp/whatever like in the bad old days)
it even works on mobile so that's cool
right now just drawing more assets, aside from the doll's base the ones shown right here were mostly just test ones
once i release it other ppl will also be allowed to create assets and submit them if they want

I'm building a #webapp that I've meant to get around to for over a decade. There's still nothing available that is better than I can do with a half-effort, so I'm going for it.
I've got a bunch of work in and it's working very well! It's frontend relies heavily on #jQuery and #jQueryUI. These libraries make easy work of the things I wanted to do, and I'm well familiar with them.
I just now saw they're sunsetting jQuery UI - jQuery mobile is already fully depreciated.
That's a big deal, right?
I can't really find anyone talking about it anywhere - which leads me to believe there might be better tools out there that have superseded jqui? Have I been generation-gapped?

Just received an email from someone facing a bug in some jQuery UI code.. they found my email in a commit for the code from.. 2007?
Like, I've not contributed to that codebase in at least 15-17 years. I was 13 or 14 when I was involved with that project. lmfao.

So it appears that the jquery-ui-rails gem is abandoned? Are there any plans to find a new maintainer, or ping the author? The gem is currently vulnerable to multiple old XSSs from jQuery 1.30.0.

New #Struts2 #jQuery plugin version 5.0.2 released. This version is based on latest Apache Struts version 6.1.1 and it includes some improvement's and bug fixes.
