Er erzählt von Haider, einem jungen Mann aus einer konservativen Familie in Lahore, der sich in die Transfrau Biba verliebt. Eine vielschichtige Geschichte über Geschlechterrollen, Begehren, familiären Druck, Selbstbestimmung und die Auswirkungen patriarchaler Strukturen.

Yesterday, I watched #JoyLand, a movie made in Pakistan. Didn't know they could make movies like this.

A brilliant movie - one of the best I have watched in a long time. A must-watch for anyone interested in that region.

It should get nominations like Parasite, and should receive awards.
