Bummed because I'd really been getting back into Diablo II Resurrected on Switch, blasting my way through with that powerful summoner necromancer I think I mentioned before I was starting- only to break one of my Hori replacement Joy-Cons.

I have a much later model Switch & the original Joy-Cons lasted longer than they usually would, but the right one is kinda wonky now, so wifey bought bigger Hori ones a couple years back, mostly for me. I liked the bigger Hori pads for my big dumb hands but we also need one for my my wife's smaller hands, and she found the Hori odd to use anyway, even before breaking. So I guess I'm gonna need to grab yet another set of OEM JoyCons as cheap as I can find em. I don't mind. I mean, they get a lot of use.

I just need something that WORKS so I can go back to exploding corpses as that necro! 😂

My left Nintendo Switch Joy-Con is drifting so bad that I keep dying in Breath pf the Wild. Very frustrating. I barely even played that much! It seems it's just a matter of old age instead of wear and tear.

Anyways, I found out that an entire iFixit pro tech toolkit and two new hall effect joysticks are just slightly more expensive than a pair of new joy-cons. So I went for the more sustainable option. Would you like to see photos/videos of the repair?

Just finished replaying #Pikmin 1. I love the game. I love the level design. I hate the time crunch. I failed to launch mostly because I spent about a week without realizing there was a map to orient and direct me. Rebooting from Day 2 and it should go much smoother.

Last time about 3 puzzles I couldn't solve and 1 I looked up and it felt wrong. We'll see how I do on run 2.

@nikki @yesterzine @ChinnyVision we sent our #joycons in to #Nintendo to be repaired under their extended warranty as both were #drifting badly. After 5 weeks one came back with no movement detected at all in the joystick, the other with the trigger button not working and no “click” when it slid into the #Switch. Both were obviously not the units we’d sent to them as they were badly faded and scratched.

Quality control for the repairs is *appalling* 😬😳

Is #TOTK reliable to play on the #SteamDeck yet lol. I've completely abandoned my playthrough of it on the #Switch, and feel like starting over sometime just so I could get thru it at some point and start watching videos/reviews of it without having anything spoiled.

I know I could just continue playing it on the Switch, but it's so much more frictionless to play it on the Steam Deck instead where most of my other games I own are + the advantage of being able to use my #DualShock4 and #DualSense controllers instead of the god awful #Joycons.

I needed to drift-proof my Joycons, so I decided to replace the analogues with Gulikit ones!
This was the first time I ever opened the Joycons and it was a nerve-wrecking experience 😂

25 days now since I sent off our #switch #JoyCons for repair by #nintendo. Was meant to be 10 day turnaround, updated to 20 due to high volumes, but looking at the tracking they've not even started on them yet 🙁

Booo. I’m on my fourth set of Nintendo Switch joycons because they’ve all drifted, including the current set.

I’m straight up using a homebrew program called Mission Control that lets me use my PlayStation 4 & 5 controllers with the Switch because I straight up refuse to give more money to Nintendo for their clearly faulty controller design.
