    Question for those who are following along for #FediJournJan - have you been seeing the #FediWriMo community posts here?

    I looked yesterday, and didn't see any of the posts I've made over the past few days, so I was wondering if anyone else is following from a Mastodon / Goto Social / etc. instance and has been seeing the posts.

    Here's the Announcement for the #FediWriMo Journaling January event:

    The event schedule is as follows:

    πŸ–‹οΈ Dates: Jan 1st - Jan 31st, 2026.
    πŸ–‹οΈ Daily #writing prompts will be supplied, but are optional.
    πŸ–‹οΈ The goal is to #write a minimum of three pages a day.
    πŸ–‹οΈ Writing daily is more important than meeting the goal.
    πŸ–‹οΈ Posting excerpts is optional, but encouraged.

    If you are interested in participating:

    ➀ Join [email protected] from any Lemmy, Mbin, or PieFed instance.

    I posted this over on the FediWriMo community about a week ago... I am wondering if there would be people interested in doing a #journal #writing "competition" in January?

    The idea is: 31 days, write 2–3 pages per day. The idea isn't like the FediNoWriMo, where the goal is to only reach the word count for a novel.  Instead, this is about developing the daily writing habit.

    One of the cooler aspects of this, that I forgot to mention, would be that it doesn't make a difference what you use: it could be a paper journal, an #eInk device, a computer, a cell phone, whatever you have.
