  1. This recap covers only the tiniest fraction of what went on in 2019 and what followed. CCP now has total control of all levers of power and influence in its #BankingColony without civil liberties. Its propaganda blaming "foreign forces" for "black-clad violence" was broadcast on all global authoritarian media. Many Hongkongers, especially youth and families with kids, have emigrated or fled the territory.

AFAICT only a small minority of Hong Kong's expats participated in the protests, but many more have since left due to the repressive atmosphere. Some sosiopathic sycophants have apparently moved there though in search of profit along with russians (probably shipping tech back to militant russia and helping skirt international financial embargoes...).

One final #trump anecdote: In 2020 when the CCP-imposed "state security law" (NSL) was coming into effect (in typical CCP style, the 'law' is *retroactive*, meaning any perceived *past* infringement can and will be prosecuted!), one of the globally famous pro-democracy faces, young Joshua Wong, tried applying for political asylum at a US mission in Hong Kong but he was denied entry by the trump 1.0 admin...

For his devotedly (he's s practising catholic) peaceful advocacy of promised democratic rights he's been incarcerated until 2029 at least. In a gaol without air-conditioning or heating more akin to a Chinese laogai. Just like all the other peaceful advocates of democracy.

“President Trump said, ‘Why don’t we just open up? Why don’t we just let a huge portion of people from Hong Kong move to the U.S.?’ And I loved it,” Pottinger told us. “You know, my view was just, transplant the whole damn city and make a new Hong Kong in America. [Trump] was like, ‘They’re going to be industrious; they’ll be great. They’ll make great Americans.’”

But Stephen Miller, Trump’s far-right political adviser, stopped the immigration scheme from going further. He was “very persuasive,”

  2. Two+ cents on trump 0.2 from a European Hongkonger who voted in 🇭🇰 HK's potemkin elections in 2019:

After the city-wide pro-democracy protests erupted in June 2019 against ☭🇨🇳 CCP's relentless erosion of the autonomy and civil rights it had "promised"(*) to Hong Kong in the 1984 handover treaty with the 🇬🇧 United Kingdom, millions of people had peacefully marched for their civil rights for months when in November 2019 Hong Kong held its last semi-open local elections.

In the District Council elections of 2019, with many prominent democracts already banned from standing or already jailed, the pro-democracy camp still won majority popular vote in.... every single one of the 18 districts.

    Every. Single. One. 👈️

Despite the CCP having funneled billions into its countless front organizations over the decades (even under the British rule before 1997) and all local billionaires ("tycoons") backing the CCP, except one: the publisher of the only remaining pro-democracy paper the Apple Daily tabloid Jimmy Lai. (He's since been languishing in a 19th century style gaol exposed to the elements for years now and has already gotten frail...)

Unlike the American public that didn't make a stand against deranged and violent autocracy — not once but *twice* now — Hongkongers used every peaceful means to stand up for their rights, only to be crushed by one of the key despots threatening a repressive global redivision of power: The Chinese Communist Party under its helmsman cum fuhrer Xi Jinping.

A globally known young democracy activist Joshua Wong later tried to enter the local US consulate to seek political asylum... The trump 0.1 admin just turned him down. He's also been isolated in a 19th century gaol for years now, and will remain incarcerated indefinitely... 😡️

👉️ With the USA now in the camp of the collaborating and horsetrading 19th century style imperialists and despots, the world is in for its most dangerous years since the global warfare of the WWII. 💥

With the US-fucking-A on the side of the despots! So, thanks again to all Americans who either supported this insanity or didn't bother lifting a finger when they had the chance... to vote... in November. Perhaps one last time like Hongkongers did in November 2019. 🖕

Also, fuck everyone in the Free World who still refuses to see the global war against democratic values and normalizes, appeases or collaborates with the enemies of the long-forgotten United Nations' ideals of universal #humanrights. 🖕

    Thanks for reading.

(*) The CCP *never* honours any of its treaties if it benefits from breaching or breaking them. It can simply rewrite its official history and those treaties out of it; see CCP's "17-Point Agreement" which it imposed on the Tibetan government after PLA invaded in 1950. Likewise the 1984 treay with the UK was, after CCP took over in 1997, ridiculed simply as a "historical document", not a treaty. 😡️
