I forgot to mention I found a new channel over the summer. Colleen's Manga Recs, they talk about shoujo (and josei) comic and animated series. I've been enjoying their videos so far and I have been noting their recommendations.

Ao no Hana Utsuwa no Mori (The Blue Flowers and The Ceramic Forest) by Kodama Yuki was a very nice read.
Warm, sweet, cosy story involving romance, life choices and... pottery. It felt calming to follow it. Sometimes one really needs a break from overdramatic stuff to enjoy a happy story of people finding the right way in life, both personal and professional. The main characters truly loved what they're doing, so much so that they got me interested in a completely foreign field for me. Wonderful. And actually quite inspiring.I also like the way the mangaka treats her characters. Not only in this manga but in her other works as well. She treats them with kindness, she lets them make mistakes and wrong choices, but then always gives them a chance to correct what's wrong and accept/heal.

Y hablando de erotismo, si existe la máxima de gestos pequeños >> todo lo demás, Konishi se ha sacado el máster. No es que el tropo al que juega con el protagonista masculino sea de mis preferidos, pero lo lleva como lo tiene que llevar, que ya es más de lo que muchas autoras pueden decir.
La escena de la crema de manos es canela finita en rama. Y no hablemos de la primera de cama 👌

A Konishi la tenía en el punto de mira desde "La maldición de Haru", que es una obra de arte tanto por dibujo como por como trata las partes más feas de cada personaje. Le había echado un ojo a Raise wa Tanin ga Ii y, aunque el rollo yakuzas siempre es un menos para mí, seguía en una muy buena línea, quizás más típica del género.
En general me gusta mucho como presenta el malestar psicológico sin cebarse demasiado. Sabe balancearse muy bien entre el drama y la comedia y en la de yakuzas demuestra que también se le da bien el thriller, la acción y el erotismo. Una de esas mangakas que dan asco de tan perfectas, vaya.
Me he estado releyendo sus mangas a la que salió el anime porque, una vez más, todo lo dirigido a mujeres tiene un presupuesto de mierda y la animación hace aguas ya en el primer episodio 😭 Me sabe especialmente mal porque en Yakuza Fiancé el tono lo es todo y necesitaba de un poco más de cariño para que la transición de una cosa a otra convenciera 😭😭
