What's the point with a love makes you hate and kill for?”I first became aware of #JoséGonzález when his vocals were featured prominently on #Zero7's 2006 album “The Garden.” There was something about his voice, a certain clarity of tone that appealed to me. When I heard his voice in the more purely #acoustic setting of In Our Nature, the second full-length release under his own name, it stood out even more, adding texture to and elevating the simple instrumentation. Is it that his vocals sound almost always double tracked?
To me, the lyrics cited above speak of an ironic duality, driven home with José’s droning guitar and pure but biting vocal.

Ma façon de travailler, c’est de m’asseoir et d’écrire avec des accords complexes ou des arpèges étonnants, et à partir de cette démo, la chanson finale peut prendre des années. Donc oui, je suis un créateur lent.
Je pense que le fait de jouer de la guitare sèche permet aussi de rester calme. Il y a une part de méditation là-dedans.
