@me A nice review, thanks! Can't wait to get mine. The camera situation is a pity, but is has always been subpar on #SailfishOS phones unfortunately. I really hoped the camera quirks were gone in the #Jolla2... But we'll see, maybe they'll be able to fix it someday.

After some hesitation I decided to complete my order of the new Jolla Phone. It has been a struggle to decide but I went for it.

Future will tell if I manage to move from iPhone to Jolla (my third actually but is has been ages).

I enjoyed the Nokia N9 at the time. I also enjoyed the original Jolla phone. Then Android then iPhone and 4 serious failed attempts to revert to /e/-os or iode-os, so now Jolla.

So lets see how well Swedish banking apps will work on it.

What a quirky product launch. Emotions exploding, at least by northern European standards. I love every second of it and now I am upset I didn't go there!

Jolla and SailfishOS should be much more in public focus. It is a great product and driven by a European mindset. Data protection, privacy, functionality and design (Of course, it's from Scandinavia!). We have a European mobile platform and should use it!

And no, modified Androids are not really the answer... We need sovereignty from Big Tech in hardware, software and usability/ecosystem.

@AlienJay Ja, mir ist es auch zu viel. Ich bin jetzt seit 10 oder was Jahren mit #SailfishOS unterwegs, immer auf subpar hardware. Nie eine akzeptable Kamera auf dem Handy, das schmerzt. Dafür #Linux, was ich nicht missen will. Das #Jolla2 sieht endlich nach einem guten Phone aus, das ist es mir dann doch wert.

Come on #LinuxMobile people, we're very close to the 10k mark for the new #SailfishOS #Jolla2 phone. Reaching that, @jolla will open source "The Other Half", the amazing changeable backplate with hardware accessories the #Jolla1 already had.
