Prime Minister’s announcement of a RM4.7 billion allocation in Budget 2024 to revive the plan to build five stations on the #LRT3 line in #Selangor that was cancelled in 2018 has raised eyebrows.
The 37km LRT3 line will connect #BandarUtama to #JohanSetia in #Klang, and is currently under construction.
With budget of RM4.7 billion, the average cost to build each #station is roughly RM940 million.

The aim of the site inspection be carried out is to ensure that the construction of the LRT3 obey the railway scheme conditions that was approved which includes the aspects of safety, quality and project development status.

Rail Planning Division of Land Public Transport Agency (APAD) has carried out site inspection for LRT 3 Bandar Utama-Johan Setia Project for the Western Package.
Among the locations of the inspection carried out were Station 17 Bandar Baru Klang, Station 22 Taman Seri Andalas and Johan Setia Depot.
