Outdoor #workoutOfTheDay
x4:
1️⃣ Inclined push-up @ 35cm x7
2️⃣ Banded Bulgarian split squat @ ~20kg x10/side
3️⃣ Inclined laying leg raises x12
4️⃣ Banded face pull @ ~40kg x14
5️⃣ Banded leg abduction @ ~15kg x12/sideI didn't post it, but I tried #joggling with 3 clubs on Thursday. It was awful! Wind, arms exhaustion and lack of experience made me drop them 28 (🫨!) times in just 1 km.
I had to try this at least once. Alas I'm not yet ready. Sticking to balls for #EJC2026

My bummers are:
1️⃣ uneven cobblestone (I never trained for it and my ankles generally don't do well running on uneven cobbled streets
2️⃣ Multiple laps on narrow streets. Fast jogglers will be at their 2nd or 3rd laps while I'm still at the 1st. -

Big news. Details have been published for the #EJC road race.
First of all, it's not a 5k anymore, just a 1-mile race.
Considering that I already joggled for more than 3 km in training, it should be feasible.
Secondly, if many people sign up, the race will be divided by category.
Last year there weren't many women competing, so this would make it significantly less "chaotic" 😄.Given all this, I am wondering if I should try 3 clubs in my next training session 🤔

A #joggling WhatsApp community with different groups has been created.
So today I got to read the first message from Scott, one of the 100m 7-balls finalist in 2025.
Yeah, you read that right. This guy juggles seven balls while running fast 🫨🤹♀️
People like him come from another planet, if you ask me.
The skills allowing them such prowess are simply unbelievable. Coordination, speed and reflexes must be top notch. -

There's one thing Slovenian #EJC organizers are nailing: communication.
For #joggling this year they encourage contestants to pre-register, whether it is for the track field single and relay competitions, or the city 5k.
A guide has been uploaded on the website, explaining the rules, the events and previous records.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/154fiD7jKlEePCY-pO9fOLAU0erF3ytRH/view?usp=sharingThere's even a newbie event on the 1st day, welcoming anyone who'd like to try ♥️

🚴♀️ Cycling to Quartier Libre 10'
🌡️8' warm-up🏃♀️🤹♀️ #joggling 3 laps ➡️ 3.16 km w/ 25 ball drops
AJE* = 126.4 m🚴♀️ Back home 10'
I am so not ready for this 5k. I have 3 joggling workouts left before leaving for the EJC. So the plan is to try 4 laps (~ 4k) next, hoping that my arms will hold for another 8 min.
Today was sunny with moderate wind. A few bursts made my balls drop, but the temperature was enjoyable at 20°C.

@flip wow, thanks! That looks super fun to watch, but it also looks very professional. There are qualifying rounds and the final race.
I'm not fast enough to be qualified 😂.Last year in Arnhem everyone could race, fast runners as well as improvised ones.

It's been 2 weeks since my last #joggling session. This morning the temperature was a perfect 18°C (we're the only part of France not yet under the heat wave) but alas it was very windy.
1st round was difficult. The wind came in strong bursts.
1️⃣🏃♀️🤹♀️ 1.86 km ➡️ 22 ball drops
AJE=88.54m2️⃣🏃♀️🤹♀️ 2.09 km ➡️ 13 ball drops
AJE=160.77m3️⃣🏃♀️🤹♀️ 1.06 km ➡️ 3 ball drops
AJE=353.33mThe wind stopped at round 3 and that AJE is a PB.

I haven't been posting my #WorkoutOfTheDay lately. It's been hot for the past 10 days, with unusual temperatures > 30°C.
While I kept working out, the volume was reduced.Today it's 24 °C ☀️💨
🚴♀️ 2x 10'
🤹♀️🏃♀️ 23:54 ➡️ 2.94 km, 22 ball drops
AJE: 133.63 m🤹♀️🏃♀️ 11:47 ➡️ 1.41 km, 13 ball drops
AJE: 108.46*AJE=average #juggling endurance.
Not a great session. It was windy and that complicated things, but I also need to be more consistent with my training.

@riaschissl I'm making this up, I don't know if there are official metrics for joggling. However it's important for me to track how far I go, on average, without dropping balls. Probably a speed metric by balls drop would make sense too.
The first time I tried #joggling, I counted 50 ball drops for 2.3 km.
Now I can set a personal goal to get to 5 km and 10 ball drops before the race in August, i.e an AJE = 500 m. -

In order to better monitor my progress I'm introducing a new metric: AJE (Average #Juggling Endurance). It's the distance divided by the number of ball drops.
🚴♀️ Riding 2x 10'
🤹♀️🏃♀️ 24'14" ➡️ 3.02 km, 22 ball drops
AJE: 136.36 m🤹♀️🏃♀️ 13'38" ➡️ 1.64 km, 14 ball drops
AJE: 117.14 mToday it's the first time I hit the 3 km milestone.
The number of ball drops is improving too.As for #FOSS apps, #OpenTracks is the most reliable imho.

🏃♀️ #running warm-up: 1,6 km at 6:44/km
🤹♀️ N1: 2,11 km at 8'/km, 27 ball drops

Weather: ☀️ 12°C 🌬️ 16 km/h
I haven't been doing any workouts this week, just a couple of juggling sessions.
My joggling sessions are improving in terms of speed but the endurance is still lacking. I'm far from uninterrupted 5k distance! -

I went out #joggling but unfortunately I failed to record on the #FitoTrack app. After a correctly recorded #running warm-up, I set the app to start recording my joggling when I move. So it never started 😅.
Then I reconfigured it with a 5s delay but again it didn't record. This is my session:
🏃♀️11' warm-up at 7'19s/km
🤹♀️ 26' at unknown pace or distance w/ 50 ball drops
🤹♀️ 1,6 km in 14' w/ 20 ball drops.Weather: 11°C ☀️ 🌬️ 20 km/h
A lot of people outside -

More considerations, learning new lessons as I train.
There is progress on distance and pace compared to my 1st session and I could watch the balls with only my peripheral vision for longer periods of time. This is crucial in order to feel confident with the road in front of me and it allows to run faster too. However it also requires full concentration and a bad throws can't be catched as easily.
And if a ball drops while running faster, it falls further behind.

#joggling n.2 at🌡️4°C 🌫️ no wind
🏃♀️ #running warm-up ➡️ 1,6 km - 7'/km
🤹♀️ 2.1 ➡️ 2,92 km, 50 ball drops - 8'21/km
🤹♀️ 2.2 ➡️ 1,28 km, 20 ball drops - 7'54/km
🤹♀️ 2.3 ➡️ 760 m, 13 ball drops - 8'15/km🏃♀️ cool-down ➡️ 955 m - 6'45/km
Weather conditions were better today compared to my first session because there was almost no wind and no sun. Nevertheless sharp turns are still challenging and I can chain 4-5 ball drops during those.
At 2.3 my arms just gave up.

🔆 💨 22 km/h
#joggling 01:
🏃♀️ 1,60 km #running
🤹♀️ 1,71 km joggling. Balls dropped 50 times
🤹♀️ 1,03 km joggling. Balls dropped 18 times
🤹♀️ 1,31 km joggling. Balls dropped 12 times.I ran to a field with a squared track lane and learned that both the wind and the sun complicate the #juggling part. I have to juggle low to avoid meeting the sunlight.
Lastly I joggled back on the park lane, stopping the balls when it was too dangerous or crowded.
People cheered me on 😄.

🌡️ #Running (treadmill) 10' - 1,45 km
🌡️ Mobility 10'x4:
1️⃣ Push-up burpee x5
2️⃣ Hanging leg raise x5
3️⃣ Lat pulldown @ 32 kg x10
4️⃣ Cable hamstring curl @ 15 kg x10/side
5️⃣ Cable glute kickback @ 15 kg x10/side🤹♀️ #Juggling 30': 20' clubs, 10' pois
I'm joining the #joggling 5k at the #EJC2026 and today I tried to run a bit at the gymnasium with 3 clubs. Much harder than 3 balls and there wasn't even any wind inside!
So next Sunday I'll try joggling at the park.
