  4. From tomorrow we will dive into the recording studio for the last time in 2022, to record works for #stringquartet by #stevereich and #JoeyRoukens. Both will be released in spring 2023!
    Steve Reich’s #differenttrains became an instant classic thanks to the #Grammy-winning recording by the #KronosQuartet. We hope the same for Joey Roukens masterful fourth quartet, which we premiered in 2020. Check out a short excerpt of the work here: youtu.be/f0jY7Z6_m8c

For today, I choose one of my very favourite contemporary #DutchComposers #JoeyRoukens with his utterly brilliant Concerto for two pianos ‘In Unison’ performed breathtakingly by Lucas and Arthur Jussen, with the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic conducted by Karina Canellakis. Unfortunately, the hilariously difficult solo for kettledrums played by their father Paul is not in this movement. You’ll have to buy the album!
