I just finished #Reading the first #Book in the #JoePickett series by #CJBox. I highly recommend the series if you enjoy #MysteryAndDetective books. I think there are around 25 books in the series.

#JoePickett (Paramount+), ist sehr hinterhältig: Die ersten Folgen wiegen dich in relative Sicherheit — Provinzdrama, ein Toter, viele schwierige Dorfmenschen, eine Hauptfigur mit schwieriger Kindheit, alles okay und recht interessant, aber nichts Weltbewegendes, denkst du dir — und dann, in den letzten drei Folgen explodieren Handlung und Spannung und Drama und du sitzt fingernägelkauend auf dem Sofa und hoffst, das alles irgendwie doch noch gut ausgeht! Toll!

#JoePickett is getting silly with S2. I think I'd rather reread all the old novels, starting with #OpenSeason. I used to love them, quit them because they got so violent--and melodramatic. But maybe a reread of the first few would be fun again.

Most tv is unmitigated crap but I'm binge-watching season 1 of #JoePickett and thinking this is pretty good.
I liked the books, the outdoors, I know birds and horses and they seem to be getting at least that much right. Beautiful country and the cinematography does it justice.
