Alberto De Martino’s The Antichrist (photographed by Joe D’Amato) is a 1974 Italian Exorcist rip-off. It throws just about every satansploitation cliché you can think of at the viewer and it’s great fun. The dream sequence is the highlight.

There's some ambiguity. This was the 70s when the idea that mental disturbance could cause paranormal phenomena was quite widely held.

Endgame (1983), a post-apocalyptic thriller directed and written by Joe D’Amato. I know what you’re thinking. With D’Amato involved it will be sleazy and tacky and total cinematic trash.

Well it’s not sleazy (well OK it is a bit) but it is very tacky and it is total cinematic trash. But I like total cinematic trash if it’s done right. And this one is definitely done right.
