( Este libro me lo regalaron porque vieron pistoleros, desierto y lisérgico y pensaron que sería una mezcla entre Dune y La Torre Oscura, dos de mis sagas favoritas )
Un cómic secuela a una extraña peli de bajo presupuesto de los 70 que no he visto. Jodorowsky aprovecha el medio para ser lo más cruento y grandioso que puede. La ultraviolencia y el machismo permean toda la obra, junto con un batiburrillo religioso mezcla de diferentes religiones reales, con un arte realista y detallado que recuerda a un película.
En cuanto a la historia, se tratan de dos hijos de "El Topo", originalmente un pistolero en la peli y ahora un santo muerto capaz de obrar milagros a voluntad. Sus hijos, Caín y Abel, uno repudiado y otro su favorito, intentarán entrar en la tumba de su padre para robarle los tesoros y enterrar a su madre respectivamente.
Es muy Jodorowsky. Incluye todos los trigger warnings del mundo, es ultraviolento e hipersexualizado, las mujeres no tienen personalidad excepto el solitario rasgo que las define. Pero también es muy Jodorowsky, pone las ideas y emociones por encima de la lógica, hay una belleza en la exploración de los arcos paralelos y contrarios que sufren los dos protagonistas a lo largo de la historia.
No me ha gustado, pero es muy interesante. Es arte, pero claramente no es para mí. Es muy raro en todos los sentidos, tanto buenos como malos.
