    i’m loving this book. I have all the #JockeySlut magazines still, and I’m a patron of its re-launch as #DiscoPogo and reading about #AphexTwin and all the other names he released music under is bringing back lots of memories.

    I have loads of the early releases - GAK and AFX - and all the utterly shit 12”s like Ventolin.

    I gave up listening to him because he released so much crappy stuff, so it’s nice to listen to the releases I missed out on like Syro. It’s all unmistakably Richard D James.

    #BasicChannel are not easy to reason or write about but this article by #RobArcand does a great job. Basic Channel were sometimes talked about in hushed tones in the 90s amongst techno DJs and in magazines slike #JockeySlut because the duo were so enigmatic and uncompromising. You were never really sure which track of which release you were listening to and you could drift off into a trance.
