"Just choose to be happy" or "Fake it 'til you make it" or any other such advice is an aggression. Folks don't necessarily see "tough love" #advice that way but it is.
Nevertheless I have decided on my own that feeling good/content/happy is #Job1 in my life. In every moment I try to feel good emotionally. Sounds exhausting & it can be. It's exhausting if I bifurcate myself into an enforcer-parent & a hurting child. By being my best friend, treating myself with love, it is worthwhile, even fun.
