Two feature requests for the next version of the Victor Reader Stream are as follows.
1, More than 2 KB of RAm because this thing is soooooooooooo slow. It's 2025 Humanware, not 1990, kindly get with the times. 1 GB RAM minimum is not a huge ask.
2, Modern Bluetooth stack, depending on what year they release a new stream. Bluetooth 4.2 is absolutely terrible in this day and age.

Yesterday’s #AWS outage has led me to wonder, not for the first time, if we all have maybe become too dependent on online services. For instance, I read the story about how the outage wreaked havoc with smart beds. I’m also thinking about people who control their kitchen appliances and thermostats with apps. From an #A11Y standpoint all these things are wonderful, no question. But, as was shown yesterday, glitches would have the potential of throwing everything into chaos. There’s also the issue of too much power being in too few hands, but that’s another subject for another time. Right now Sarah and I have Braille overlays for our appliances, and our thermostat from the now defunct talkingthermostats.com still works fine. I’m just not sure I ever want to put control of my appliances and heating/cooling into the hands of an app. #JMO

So apparently today is National #CheesePizzaDay or maybe International Cheese Pizza Day or Intergalactic Cheese Pizza Day or whatever. I love pizza, but for me, plain old cheese pizza is, well, too plain. I would even say that about the fancier, way more expensive artisan cheese pizzas. Without toppings, a pizza isn’t a pizza. #JMO

Canadian government is absolutely not buying what he’s selling, and that’s good in the long run. Capitulation would just lead to more capitulation, and more, and more, and more, etc., ad nauseam. I know it sucks for the Canadian subjects (you are known as subjects, right?), but they’re playing it the only way they can without getting steamrolled. #JMO

@Bruce Keep in mind that most, if not all, of this is just bluster. There are no actual deals except in his fevered mind. The way I see it the Canadian government is handling him correctly in keeping things real as opposed to giving into him. #JMO

@BlueBeachSong Everybody knows this so-called #BigBeautifulBill will be a disaster for a majority of people and is as popular as a fart in an elevator, yet I’m certain it will get through the Senate. I saw something today indicating the #Senate parlimentarian ruled that some of the things in the bill could not be put into something going through the reconciliation process, but again I’m pretty sure that will just be ignored. #JMO

In the end, the Dems had the right candidate in 2016, and I did vote accordingly. But now, in 2024, I think we definitely have a situation where certain people are trying to tell the rest what to do. #JMO

So, we have Arm Windows. Why can’t we have Arm BootCamp? Virtual machines are nice, but virtual Windows on M-series Macs feels like an exercise in frustration quite often. #JMO

I wish they would offer a one-time purchase, and a subscription. That way, folks could pay how they want, and the developer could get paid. #JMO
