A violent protest in New Delhi’s Jamia Millia Islamia University almost four years ago, on 13 December 2019, started a two-month agitation against India’s contentious new citizenship law. Eight months after a district court judge discharged students of Jamia for lack of evidence and six months after the Delhi High Court reversed the order, the trial is proceeding with one hearing a month. Article14 reviews why a case lacking evidence after 3.5 years of investigation is being prosecuted.

We recently sold two of our bicycles which presented a solution to the loss of the use of the #JMI telescope case. The bike rack works beautifully, holding the six-inch #Meade #telescope and aforementioned, now empty, case off the floor! I’ll still need to get that case relined with padding if I want to transport the Meade but… hmmmm. 🤔 Maybe sell or gift the case at this point?

Went to look for an accessory I thought might be stored with the six-inch refractor and got a surprise. Opening the #JMI foam-lined case I discovered #ants. And not just a few of them. Maybe hundreds building a colony. In my telescope case. I wound up shaking the insects out into the grass, tearing out the foam padding, and washing the interior. Now I need to create a new lining and find a place to store the telescope and case where ants won’t invade. #telescope #astronomy
