J’étais content de revoir Passion de Godard, que je n’avais pas vu depuis très longtemps. Il y a des phrases de ce film qui me sont toujours restées, qui m’ont toujours habité.
« Vas-y, dis-la ta phrase ! »
La société actuelle est pleine d’injonctions comme jamais. Et je ressens comme une violence puissante qu’on demande à tout le monde de « dire la phrase qu’on attend de lui » Les regrets, les remords, le pardon demandé. C’est tout le temps.
« Est-ce que les choses ont des contours ? »
Cette fois encore je ne me souviens déjà plus si la question ne serait pas plutôt…

Et puis, à un moment, Piccoli crie à Hanna Schygulla, depuis une voiture qui tourne en rond, alors qu’elle conduit une autre voiture :
« Moi aussi, j’aurais voulu t’aimer passionnément ! »
C’est curieux, je me souvenais de cette phrase, je m’en souviens depuis 1982. Mais je ne me souvenais pas que, plus tôt dans le film, c’est Hanna qui, dans une pièce où ils sont tous les deux, où ils se parlent, dit à Michel :
« J’aurais voulu t’aimer passionnément. »
Ma vie est pleine de ces citations, j’adore ça. Dans La Maman et la Putain, une réplique d’Eustache, c’est :
« Parler avec les mots des autres, ça doit être ça, la liberté ! »
