The photo appears to have originally been titled 九份盲女 - “Jiufen blind girl”, and is variously dated between about 1957 and some time in the Sixties.

Random dip into the #Travel archives. Here's #Jiufen from the first time we visited this former mining town and now tourist draw famous for its tea houses and shops. This was 2008 and as you can see, we got wet. The location in the hills, the low cloud and rain, the claustrophobic sprawl, the atmosphere so wonderful that we had to revisit a decade later. That time we got sunshine, though.
