    The Hiragana/Katakana/Romaji key is conventionally to the right of the spacebar on (ISO 9995-1) row A, and pictures I have just found on the WWW indicate that the Pomera DM250 has one.

    I've not encountered one of those personally, having mainly encountered #JISKeyboards for PCs.

    On JIS keyboards the ひらツな /カタカナ /ローマ字, (Hiragana / Katakana / Romaji) key either cycles through those three or (with various modifier combinations) goes directly to each one of the different character sets. The former is more likely for a typewriter, as the latter is more Microsoft #InputMethod behaviour for PCs.

    It is likely that this changes the UI language as well as the input method, but I couldn't tell you that for certain.
