So many videos on #YouTube are fucking unwatchable these days because words advertisers don't like are either replaced with the corporate newspeak Stephanie is talking about or cut out in the same way they would be beeped out in television, just instead of the beep the word is cut entirely.
I know getting a Youtube replacement rolling is a Herculean task for a plethora of reasons but how do even watchers put up with this?

This video voices a lot of my frustrations with #YouTube. I’ve wanted to jump ship for years and I’ve been trying to find alternatives like #PeerTube… the main barrier for me is the price of storage.
I have over 800GB of videos on my YT channel currently, which far exceeds most of the plans on the hosting services I’ve seen. If I want to back up my current channel AND keep making videos on a hosting service, it’s not clear if I’d be able to add more storage as needed, let alone be able to afford it. And I don’t even make videos for money - I can only imagine how hard it’d be for creators who rely on videomaking to pay the bills.
#Google knows video hosting is expensive, and that keeps content creators like me tethered to their monopoly. I’d be so much happier if I could just completely cut ties with the company, I would LOVE to have my own website to host all my content, I just don’t know how I can feasibly do that without making myself broke in the process 😩💚

The only game awards worth a damn, #Jimquisition is that type of #games #journalist that never bent over and kissed the industry's feet, as one of the only true games journalists still out there being serious about the art form of games development... games.
If you don't play video games, then this list is probably the best thing to make you games curious, because some of these gems (you probably read that as "games") go beyond the pale of the average basic bitch FPS.

@chikorita157 I was one of the unfortunately fools burned HARD by Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier. As one #Jimquisition has stated many times, #microtransactions prey on neurodivergent players (such as myself) whose brains are wired to pursue and collect/complete special interests and therefore struggle to regulate impulse purchases relating to this. It's a concept which should've been left with arcades. Gachas and live services DON'T make games more accessible for marginalised groups - it's a means to pressure players into paying more over a longer period of time, which NEVER benefits groups already struggling to keep afloat in this economy.

It's not hard to not buy a game that funds and publically endorses the world's most famous person cheerleading for genocide of trans people.
You can come up with a million justifications for funding and endorsing her years long campaign of hatred and violence.
But in the end, it's not hard to not buy a game.
The fact that those funding and publically endorsing someone who's made spreading hatred and genocidal rhetoric her whole life, and who is unfortunately highly successful in those efforts, are the ones claiming that they are being bullied for their public funding and endorsement actions is par for the gaslighting course.
I usually say that every ounce of anger from #Jimquisition is justified, but in this case I feel like she could have been at least a few more notches angrier and still be justified:
