Richard Harris was born on this day in 1930.
Another towering, storied Irish talent who was much more than a “Harry Potter actor”, he also had a big hit with MacArthur Park in 1968, written by the brilliant Jimmy Webb (of Wichita Lineman, Highwayman and many others).
