My first experiment on making a satay sauce using #JimmysSateSauce as a base.
I did this last night before going to sleep. I used an almost empty peanut butter jar for mixing.
Added some of Jimmy’s, some lemon juice, some sweet soy & at that point had a taste from the lid to see how it was going.
It was already a better satay than any store bought #sataysauce I’ve purchased!
I’ve started the day with a migraine, so when the worst of that passes, I’ll add a little coconut milk.

Damn! I know I’ve got #arthritic #hands but these #jars from #HongKong are proving very hard to #open!
I’ve got one to the point that the faintest sheen of oil is showing at the bottom of the lid & I can smell the sauce.
My next move is very hot water - or a rock!
Do the restaurants that use this sauce employ body builders to open the jars?
