That makes this another LP with Miles Davis' rhythm section, as the earlier Art Pepper Meets the Rhythm Section was. Recorded live in 1962 at Tsubo in Berkeley, California—a hot set (supposedly the crowd had to endure some repeats to get a good take, but they've certainly retained their enthusiasm).

Probably not the best title ever, this is the follow-on album from Giant Steps, released in 1961, but (mostly) recorded in '59.
Backing up Coltrane are the guys from Miles' band—Wynton Kelley (piano), Paul Chambers (bass) and Jimmy Cobb (drums).
A whole lot of good music, as you'd expect...in the same general mold as Giant Steps.
