It's so nice on car-free #JFKPromenade today. I mean, it's so nice every day. I'm sure it's *possible* to have a bad time there, but you'd have to work at it. Even a soulless, heartless, joyless de Young board member would probably like it. #SanFrancisco

I missed this sign, but a friend let me know that #entwined is advertising for Tesla again
Also it's not even true, they installed power hookups specifically for this installation, we all saw them do it and we can all see the physical power cables

"I had to eat crow on this one. I actually voted against closing JFK. Then one sunny day I took a bike ride there and it was awesome. So much art and happy people. Music. Dancing. Kids. It was awesome.”
It's hard for me to see how someone could visit JFK Promenade and *not* feel that way.

There’s such an incredible difference between biking with my 12 year-old on paint-only bike lanes or sharrows, or worse, streets with no bike support at all, compared to car-free streets/spaces (today, #JFKPromenade in #SanFrancisco). He goes from being—completely legitimately—anxious, stressed, and confused by driver behavior, to being carefree and full of joy for biking and exercise and the outdoors.
It’s criminal that the first of those is the default case.
